Syria Visa on Arrival

The Syrian authorities issue entry visas on arrival to most nationalities, with certain exceptions determined by political, security, and administrative regulations. Travelers from restricted countries are required to obtain prior visa approval before travel.

The visa fee must be paid in cash (USD or EUR) upon arrival at either land border crossings or international airports.

In most cases, visas are stamped directly into the traveler’s passport. However, passengers may request that the visa be issued on a separate sheet of paper instead of being stamped in the passport.

Important Notice:
Travelers whose passports contain entry or exit stamps from border crossings between Israel and Egypt or Israel and Jordan are not eligible for a Syrian visa.

In such cases, it is recommended to ask the airline to verify the latest visa regulations directly with Syrian immigration authorities.

Alternatively, travelers booking through a licensed tour operator can obtain a pre-arranged visa confirmation letter, ensuring smooth boarding and entry procedures.

Please note that airlines such as Flydubai and Jet Airways have occasionally been reported to apply outdated visa requirements.
