Detailed Itinerary

Arrival via Beirut or Damascus Airport. Transfer to the Old City of Damascus for an introductory walking tour through its ancient streets and historic quarters. Overnight in a boutique hotel in Old Damascus.

Travel south to Bosra al-Sham to explore its magnificent Roman theatre and archaeological ruins. Visit the Shrine of Sayyida Zaynab before returning to Damascus for overnight stay.

Visit Maaloula, where Aramaic is still spoken. Continue to the desert monastery of Mar Musa, dramatically set into the mountains. Stop in Homs before continuing to Aleppo for overnight stay.

Explore Aleppo’s ancient citadel, historic markets, and traditional neighborhoods. Discover the cultural depth of one of the world’s oldest continuously inhabited cities. Overnight in Aleppo.

Visit the Basilica of St. Simeon Stylites, one of early Christianity’s greatest monuments. Continue through Idlib Governorate to Apamea’s monumental colonnade. Visit Hama’s iconic waterwheels before overnight in Al Mishtaya countryside village.

Journey east to Palmyra, the legendary oasis city. Walk through its grand colonnades, theatre, and tombs. Return to Al Mishtaya for overnight stay.

Visit a series of medieval fortresses including Krak des Chevaliers, Safita Tower, Husn Suleiman, and the dramatic Saladin Castle. Continue to Latakia for the seaside overnight.

Explore Ugarit, one of history’s most important archaeological discoveries. Visit Burj Islam and Kassab before touring Marqab Castle. Overnight in Tartous.

Boat trip to Arwad Island, Syria’s only inhabited island with ancient Phoenician roots. Visit the nearby Amrit archaeological site before returning to Damascus for final overnight stay.
